Natural Materials

On Thursday we visited the exhibition of Natural Materials. I was surprised when I saw this exhibition. The authors or artists of the exhibition are Richard Loskot and Michal Šimonfy.These two authors created very interesting works.I think that it was about the people, nature and about their relationship.  The works was placed in six rooms. So we can saw six amazing installations.


1- Light Path – Richard Loskot
When I came to the first room I just saw mirrors. I expected some paintings or something like this. But this was nice surprise. Because in the middle of that room was one reflector and the light reflected all mirrors. It was like never ending light

2- Life of Your Words – Michal Šimonfy

The second installation was very surprising. When I saw this work I think that there are tiny bacteria or insects.But I was wrong. This work shows people, how often they are talking about the death and life. Dark green dots symbolise death and green dots symbolise life and birth.

3- Even a Person is a System – Richard Loskot
Third installation was about our stereotypes of the day. We can heard dogs,water,music. It was about basic components of nature: wind,water,sun,moon,light,time,air,stars...... This room was a little scary, maybe only for me.

4- For Two - Michal Šimonfy
This work was the most interesting for me. In room was two chairs and one table. There were two sensors which we put on our thumbs and on the table we can saw our heartbeats. That’s the way how you can find your “soul friend”.

5-Everything Has Its Time – Richard Loskot
This installation show to us imaginative movement of the rose’s shadow. This was the most interesting for me.

6-Fruit map – Michal Šimonfy
The last work was something like Google Earth but with fruit trees. You can add your tree on  www.fruitmap.sk.
